Autonomy of Networked Things (AoNT) Technologies
The Autonomy of Networked Tings (AoNT) is designed and developed as a second tier of the Internet of Tings (IoT) for a team of things working together. The primary advantage of the AoNT over the basic tier of the IoT is the greater security and the new space opened for developing smart capacity of the networked things with relieving the burden of unnecessary internet connections.
The model of AoNT vs IoT could be drawn in a simple example from home automation as follows:
IoT Model
Suppose the TV set, refrigerator, and mobile phone are made into IoT. TV set has Internet advertisement of vegetables, refrigerator has vegetable storage control with a grocery, i.e. the grocery monitor the refrigerator remaining. When the user of the IoT learned a better supplier from watching the TV, the user can check the remaining vegetables and configure the refrigerator to a new grocery and either let refrigerator place order directly or the user place the order by mobile phone dependent on the system design.
AoNT Model
Suppose the TV set, refrigerator, and mobile phone are networked at home with autonomy working together. When the TV set display the advertisement of vegetables, the TV set broadcast the the message of the price with the names of grocery to the network. The refrigerator will compare the new price of with the price being conducted for placing order for controlling the storage, then broadcast a report. The user get report on the mobile phone, then make decision whether need to reconfigure the grocery and/or place an order. In the AoNT, it is the network to perform the IoT togrther in autonomy rather than every member in the network to perform IoT. The network autonomously make at least one member connect to the Internet in the real time. For the vegetable storage control, the refrigerator broadcast the remaining to the network members, the grocery monitor the remaining through the member in the network performance in the real time Internet connection, i.e. either TV set or refrigerator or mobile phone connecting to the Internet. How many members connect to the Internet at the same real time dependent on the size of the network and the system design.
The AoNT model is like the family members working together for the family needs and connected with the government for the family management rather than every family member connected with government individually for their personal affairs without mind for each other.
